All over the Hollywood area have been contacted, and some group rates have been negotiated at more than one hotel. We tried to accommodate the different needs we knew many of you would have. Some of you need a bargain lodging, while others want to splurge on their weekend out, but most of you just want to stay near each other. So, in the description of each location, we'll give the rate that has been quoted, designate if that's guaranteed, or just the current rate until availability runs out, and tell you how to contact them. The code to get the negotiated rate for any hotel listed as having a group rate is 'TORN Events.'
Group rates will only be good until February 21, after which, we'll have to release any unused portion of the room block back to the hotels. We will also list some other hotel and motel options, and the current prices quoted, but these additional locations do NOT have a group booking, so the rates are subject to availability. If you have any questions, or any problems with any of the hotels listed, please feel free to email Garfeimao the details Garfeimao@theonering.net. We'll work to resolve the issue. If you do call, and there is no room block listed for TORN Events, try TheOneRing.net, and if that still doesn't work, email Garfeimao. They may not get these rates into their reservation systems until Monday, so be patient and try again.

Group rate of $135, this hotel is the one we have the largest allotment of rooms at, so this rate should be good all the way into March. Make sure to mention TORN Event, and this quoted price, to get that rate. They are giving us this rate up to 3 days prior and 3 days post, so you have the option of making a nice, week long trip out of this.
The Hilton Universal is located near the entrance to the Universal Studios tour and City Walk, so there are plenty of entertainment options in the evening. This hotel was built as a Premiere hotel, and it's rooms are 30% larger than those of the Sheraton next door, which is why it was chosen over it's neighbor.
The Sales manager, Don Kaaukai, has offered his email for the people who have problems making reservations by phone. Anyone can email him with a reservation request, or problem, and he'll take care of it. This is especially good for the International travellors who have been unable to call. Group rate of $159, but is not a block of rooms, so this rate is only good as long as the hotel has space. Use TORN Event, and mention the price, and you should get this rate if they have availability.
The address says Los Angeles, but this is really located on the edges of Beverly Hills.The Sofitel is across the street from the prestigious Beverly Center shopping center and the original Los Angeles Hard Rock Cafe. For those of you looking to spoil yourself for the weekend, this is the ideal location to do it at. It's close enough to the party area to get you there quickly, and it's just a few blocks from LA's Restaurant Row and the trendy Melrose Ave. shopping area. OH, and did I mention this is a truly beautiful hotel?

Group rate of $109, but they have given us a small block of rooms, so this won't last. They are already half full, so you may want to act quickly on this one.
This hotel is just a few blocks North of the Hollywood and Highland complex, which houses the Kodak theater, home to the Oscars. They have rooms on hold for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, but may be able to add nights before and after, if they have the availability when you book. Just say TORN Events, and you should have no problems getting this reduced rate.

Group rate of $109 for 1 bed (single/double) and $119 for 2 beds, and the price includes a buffet breakfast.
This is a smaller motel, just across the street from the Holiday Inn, but many of it's rooms are bigger than those of the Holiday Inn. This facility is just a year old, so there should be very little wear and tear you often see with the discount chains. There are less rooms here, so this rate is only good until mid-February, so act quickly, say TORN Events when booking.

This hotel is located on La Brea ave. between Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset Blvd. It's only a few blocks from the party location, and is probably one of the only hotel/motels this close to Sunset I would actually recommend people go to. My mom stayed here last year, and had no problems, except to say that the parking garage is a bit of a tight squeeze to get into.

Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn

No fixed group rate, but the rate as of Friday, January 17 was $69 single, $79 double.
This motel is next door to the Holiday Inn, which means it's quite close to the Hollywood and Highland complex. It has free parking, but it's not much in the way of space. This hotel is also fairly small, so this rate won't last long. Other chains to look into are Ramada Inn, Days Inn and Travelodge.
