Biography: (MOVIE ONLY CHARACTER - SPOILERS AHEAD) The Gondorian Archivist is the first glimpse of a native from Minas Tirith in The Fellowship of the Ring. By all accounts a librarian, the archivist helps Gandalf find some stored scrolls relating to the One Ring, particularly Isildur's own account of how he became the Ringbearer after the death of his father. The archivist may appear in The Return of the King where a major part of the film is based in the city of Minas Tirith.
