The NZ Herald reported today that Denzel Washington has confirmed the rumours that he had met with PJ during his 4 day visit to Wellington. Contrary to discussion elsewhere that relates to the upcoming Halo movie, Washington has stated that he will be directing a film to be released in two years, for which Peter Jackson will be providing the special effects.

What's that you say? The limited edition DVDs have been out for ages? Think again. Home Media Retailing reports that New Line Home entertainment are releasing yet another set with even more features. Each movie in the trilogy will be available for $28.98 from August the 29th. Each 2-disk set is designed to appeal to the first time buyer, containing the original theatrical version as well as the extended version seen in the previous limited edition. New to the DVDs are the video production diaries filmed by Costa Botes. I'm not sure if there's enough new stuff in the set to make me cough up that amount of money again, however anyone who has yet to see the extended editions should use this as a good excuse to treat yourselves!

According to the German PJ fansite Kaihoro.de one of Jacksonīs next film projects (after "The Lovely Bones") will be a British co-produced "low budget" flick called "Ella".
Ella is written by Uri Gellar and is about a Girl with transcendental skills. As far as we are informed PJ allready talked with Uri Gellar about the project. So can it be true? Well, maybe..because some weeks ago PJ was in the UK (remember the "Hot Fuzz"-PD...) and Gellar is living there and so maybe they met and talked about it...okay...thatīs not really a proof but the best we can give you right now.
