PJ's next Project?
- Submitted by Lewman

"The Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson and partners Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens are in talks to adapt Alice Sebold's best-selling novel The Lovely Bones after completing King Kong, reports Variety.

"Bones" is a heartbreaking tale narrated by a 14-year old girl -- after she has been raped and murdered. From heaven, she observes her shattered family's attempt to heal, as a detective tries to solve the case and as her killer moves along his demented path.

The film rights are controlled by British-based FilmFour and producer Aimee Peyronnet, who made an option deal in 2000 based on the book's first 100 pages. Talks with Jackson & crew are early and no deal has been made yet, adds the trade.

The Truth - Finally?!
- Submitted by Lewman

Did we fool you then?

Well I think I can quite safely say we at TBHL have been suprised and shocked by the overwhelming response we've had from the article we posted yesterday.

Yes it was an April Fools joke. A damn good one i might add! It seems to have fooled a fair few of you by the looks of the forum postings and e-mails we've been recieving!

A big thanks to everyone involved in the making of this. Reno for all his hard working creativity. Sam for being the fantastic writer that we've been crying out for years. Harry Knowles for playing ball with us. TORN for promoting us and a big up to WingNut for giving us the go ahead on the prank that fooled as many people as Forgotten Silver did!

Now to answer the big question a lot of people have been asking. Are these t-shirts for real? The answer to that question is ... Yes they are. The shirts will be on sale to you the public within the next few days so keep checking back to get your grubby hands on what all the kids will be wearing this season. Needless to say they wont be available in any highstreet shop ;)

Message from the new owner...

Just a quick update. We recieved this email from Harry Knowles earlier. Thought we ought to show you to see what you're dealing with

To Bastards,

I can not begin to convey the sadness and tinge of glee that a truly distraught Peter Jackson had in his voice as he contacted me earlier today to ask that I host http://www.aintpeterjacksoncool.com. I alerted him to my many new endeavors and the already taxed server that I'm operating currently, but he would not be put off. His constant sobbing and giggles... well, it crumpled my will... along with his wiring of a large amount of cash.

So it was with a heavy heart that I will assume the mantle as the new webmaster of Peter Jackson's Official Website. I would be lying if I didn't say I could do a better job than you slobbish bastards, but then... I don't expect you amateurs to ever live up to my professional standards. Peter is an Oscar winner - and he's put that whole childish part of his career behind him. It is meant as a footnote in an emerging career. Much as "THE BASTARDS HAVE LANDED" website will be a footnote to my AintPeterJacksonCool.Com will be the gold standard of excellence in Cinema Shrines. We registered it today, and till we get the really cool streaming video of Peter accepting his Best Picture Oscar loaded, it will point to my already brilliant, Aint It Cool News.

Let's face it, you bastards blew it. I'm sure you see Peter and I as the Bastards, but... then those in the cheap seats always throw their carmel-coated peanuts at those of us in the opera boxes. Peter is above insults and name calling, and after this letter so will I. Peter is through with you bastards, and now... so am I.
