Arwen lies, as still and sad as death, upon her bed. The image of Luthien reborn, this image has sparked much speculation in the last two years. Could it be that, having returned to Rivendell after seeming to depart for Valinor, she grieves at the parting to come with her kin -- knowing that she will accept a mortal life to be with Aragorn, her love? Elrond voice-over "You gave away your life's grace..."
