What? Another BOB Entry!
Lewman @ 8:58 am EST

Yep thats right, we have another great BOB entry. This one is sent in by regular poster The Hideous Thing

It's a great poem that describes her love for Derek from Bad Taste. Go check it out NOW!

Oh and BTW The Hideous Thing is in fact female, and not male, which I made the mistake of saying in the past! :P

New Board of Bastards Entry!
Lewman @ 8:33 pm EST

Yep thats right, we have a new BOB entry! This entry was sent in by Jimmy Vampyro

I think you'll all agree this is a kick ass addition. It's a cool sketch of Derek from Bad Taste, as you can see it captures his likeness in a great cartoon way.

Bad Taste DVD Fucking Finally!
Lewman @ 9:01 am EST

Yep thats damn right! We are finally going to be seeing a descent release of PJ's splatter classic Bad Taste! :)

The fine guys over at Anchor Bay are apparently getting ready to release the film both on DVD and VHS in late 2001 (as if anyone is still going to be taking VHS seriously then!)

The Full press release is as follows:

SEPTEMBER 27, 2000
One of my all-time favorites will be coming to DVD and VHS in late 2001 from Anchor Bay Entertainment...Peter Jackson's debut feature, BAD TASTE.

The outrageous saga of a New Zealand town slaughtered by a sick group of extraterrestrial fast-food workers, BAD TASTE will feature numerous special edition features and will also include the A GOOD TASTE FOR BAD TASTE mini-documentary seen in New Zealand..

More details will be announced soon... Long live Crumb's Crunchy Delights!

Now as you can see not much more than the 20 minute documentary that was made on the films release in 1987 has been announced. BUT TBHL can exclusively say that there will more than likely be an audio commentary to accompany this DVD as Pete O'Herne and some of the other boys will be more than willing to record one, which will kick some serious ass :P
The big question is whether Peter Jackson will be doing this as well, remembering that he will be preparing the first installment of LOTR, I guess only time will tell! :)

Thanks to Jeremy, James and David for the cool news

Heavenly Creatures uncut finally to be released?
Lewman @ 5:39 pm EST

Well I've been in contact with the New Zealand Film Commision asking about what the possibility of my faviourte film being released in it's uncut format. As you all may know, the only country that saw it released at one stage uncut was New Zelaand itself, but unfortuantly it was a very limited release, meaning it was very hard to track down!

Well apparently moves are being made to get it re-released again. Nothing is definate at this stage, but if all goes to plan we'll see it soon :P

We'll keep you posted with any news we get on this =]

So Lewman, you actually found time to make an update? :)
Lewman @ 9:16 am EST

Yep... thats right. It's update time again. A lot's been happening since last time, I have a LOT of new stuff to put up on the page, but can't put it up till September as TOR are having a few probs at the mo' :(
Still It'll be worth it when it's all up :)

I think It's really great how you guys keep sending us images of PJ related stuff. I'd usually just put these up in their relevant sections, but I think these are a little special.

We also got sent this amusing picture that Thomas from France sent in. His website is at : http://www.chez.com/hoh/badtaste.html

It's a really cool picture with a lot of extra detail that you have to look out for ;)

WARNING : THE FULL IMAGE CONTAINS NUDITY

These were sent in by Chris Campbell who has this in his room!

These images are a life-sized (5' 3'') replica of one of the aliens
from BT. It's made from molded latex over a PVC skeleton (fully posable),
has realistic nails, teeth, drool, glass eyes and blue veins under the skin
of his scalp. He is dressed in faded jeans, a button-up blue shirt and white
sneakers just like in the movie, and even has a realistic looking 9mm! It
was made by a make-up pro in Texas to show off his talents to a big
Halloween mask and costume company in the US he was applying for a job with.

Chris went on to say a few tidbits about the model

Some trivia about it is that, before selling it to me, he dragged it along
to a couple of conventions in the States (I think one was a Fangoria Con)
where it was seen by Jackson himself who was impressed with it, but
requested that it be removed for copyright reasons I guess. Another bit of
trivia is that, at one of the conventions it made an appearance at, it was
seen by Kurt Hammett (sp) of Metallica who commissioned another to be made
from the same molds. So there's 2 of em in the world, one here in Sydney and
another in a very rich rock-stars house
