Bad Taste Cast Reunion
BadTaste_nz @ 8:13 pm EST

Well, as you all know, there was a Sci-Fi & Comics Convention on the 15th and 16th of September in Wellington. I attended this event, and meet the guys from Peter Jacksons film, BAD TASTE. The cast that attened were:
Pete O'Herne (Barry)
Craig Smith (Giles)
Mike Minett (Frank)
Terry Potter (Ozzy)
Ken Hammon (3rd Class Alien & Additional Material)
Dean Lawrie (3rd Class Alien - Lord Crumb SFX Double)

Meeting the guys from Bad Taste, man, i had waiting for ages for that. It was great to see them all on stage talking about BT and how much fun they had. It was a pitty that PJ didnt attend, but we all know that hes to busy promoting Lord Of The Rings

When all the Dragonball Z shit had finished, everyone had to clear the main stage area so that no Under 16s could watch the movie, which I thought was pretty unfair, all people should see Bad Taste. Anyway, once all the fans had entered the room, the stars came in, everyone clapped and hooted, it was great. We had the chance to ask questions, some people surprized me a bit when they asked "Who was that weird guy with the chainsaw??" I laughed, heee heee ;)

Well, during all the questions, Bill (Organiser) was twiddling his thumbs eager to stop all the talking and play the dam movie. The movie rolled, on the big screen, great quality, and great surround sound. The movie was presented in a version I had not seen, different camera angles and zoom-ins. I was more excitied than before.

After the screening, people clapped and hooted once more, and we were asked to "GO HOME!!" by Bill. "Bugger that" I said to myslef, I went outside the main stage and met the 'Actors' personally. I caught up with Pete, after chatting to him for ages over email, it was great to see him and introduce my self. Dean was a bit shocked to hear that he has fans, and you can see that in the picture of him later. Craig was pleased to see me (I chat to him also) I met him & Ken before the event, I saw them standing about 1 Meter away from where I was buying stuff, So I wandered over. Mike was very 'happy' (a bit tipsy Mike?) to see all his fans, especially Chris Smith (another big fan).
Terry was kind enough to pose for a few photos, so that was cool.

After travelling all the way down from Whangarei, i couldn't leave without photos, so take a look at them (dont laught at me). hee hee. Photos.
Well, thats my comments on the event, on the photo page, you can also read Chris Smiths review.

From the director of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, comes a much different tale...

Regular Edition Bad Taste DVD Cover

Limited Edition Bad Taste DVD Cover

So what can be said about these DVDs? It's great that they are finally getting a THX approved transfer (although it's a little frightening) and the DTS sound should be intresting to hear ;p

It's also cool that the Good Taste Made Bad Taste Documentary will be there too, although It's slightly annoying it'll only be in the LE dvd.

The coverart? Well I've been hearing mixed views about this one. How come they have decided to release one edition with the 2 fingers up (the edited US poster) and one with one finger up (the original NZ poster). And whats with that ring? lol Lord crumb aint married, and if he was, what the hell would it look like?

I guess the only real comments that can be made about the DVD is when I'm holding them in my hands. So look out soon for a review on them, where we'll be disecting them and putting them through the TBHL paces :)

Oh my fucking god!!!!!
Lewman @ 6:36 pm EST

I think I'll always remember the time when I literally jumped out of my seat and screamed with ummm... delight :)

Yup, that was when I saw Sam nearly get hit by a cave troll's hammer.

Not only has this again affirmed by expectations of the films, but also that of PJ's talent and all the other guys at WETA. I mean the way the film is looking it could go down in history as the greatest epic in cinematic history.

So not too long to wait now till we see the first film in our cinemas :) Why not fill the time void by downloading the new trailer that premiered last night on WB during the season opener of Angel. It'll change your life ;p

Download NOW!
