Dare you meet the Sodomy Police?
Lewman @ 5:49 pm EST

Thats right, meet the sodomy police in this hilarious short film that we were sent ny James Pearcy. Much in the style of PJ's black humour (ala Meet the Feebles) be prepared to laugh your asses off! :)

Download the movie HERE (15mb)

On another note, it seems that our FRIGHTENERS PETITION is going very well, with over 200 signatures so far, I'm sure were gonna be able to get something done! :)

Random thought of the day
Lewman @ 3:29 pm EST

Ok, I'm probably going to regret saying this, but I've wanted to say this openly for a long while.

Is it just me or does the official LOTR site really suck?

Now I don't normally bash websites, but because this site is meant to be promoting everyone's faviourte film, I thought I'd make an exception.

To cut through all the shit, it really should be a lot better / more that is on show at the moment. Whenever I go on there, I can't wait to get the chore over and done with of checking the Live Set Cam. And then leaving as quickly as possible before that bloody Java applet takes over my screen. And while we are on the subject, what exactly is it meant to be? I'm sure the SAS would be proud to have that on their web page :)

I'm not having a go at the technology on the site, as it is very intuative that they have the Live Set Cam (when it's updated) and the Q&A is something we all should be looking forward too.

But there's such a smell of cleanly corporatism about the whole page that I hate. It contains little information, I mean it really should be updated a lot more with developments, fan input etc. Which really doesnt seem to be happening.

I mean the old design of the page looked much better before they relaunched it with this neopolitan nightmare. Site's such as TOR and Ringbearer etc. Are covering and producing LOTR sites to a higher standard than the guys who are getting paid for it! Why dont you take a leaf out of their books?

Take one section of the TOR, it has more information on it than the entire Frickin LOTR website!

Why bitch about it? Well i see a problem in that people who want to find out about the film will go there first as It's the most heavily promoted website. When they get there, they'll find limited information, and will go away none the wiser. The official site, if it is being targeted as the source for the movie information, SHOULD contain all the things the visitor wants to know, and not just a host of nonsence animations! :)

I know it may still be early days yet, but I think I'm not alone in thinking that there should be a lot more to an official website than is on show at the moment.

Saturday's Chat + Chat Log
Lewman @ 1:38 pm EST

May i first thank Pete and Craig for attending the chat on Saturday night, it was a major success. Loads of people attended it, and I can safely say we all had a good time! :)

So here is the inevitable chat log. Now it's a little different to the normal TOR logs, as it's uneditied. You see I'm the kinda person that likes to read what happened before and after the chat. Plus I reckon it's far easier to read with time stamps and seeing when people log on and off :) I guess right now your thinking 'Yeah right, Lewman's a fat lazy bastard' But your wrong ;))

So here it is for your enjoyment! :) CHAT LOG!

Petition to get the Signature Edition of The Frightners released on DVD
Lewman @ 5:03 pm EST

Okay, I'm fed up of watching the documentary of The Frightners on a dodgy VHS tape.

You wanna know why? well firstly I don't own a Laser Disk player, and second of all even if i did, I wouldnt be able to get hold of the laserdisk! Because the damn thing is out of print.

So I've decided to make a petition for the phenomenon that is The Frighteners Laser Disk, to get released on DVD.

For those of you who are not aware of how good this is, let me fill you in what's on it.

- 12 minute extended directors cut version of the film
- Running commentary by Peter Jackson
- A 4.5 hour long documentary on the making of the film. This includes storyboards, outtakes, deleted scenes, bloopers, interviews etc.
- Trailers
- Optimum picture and sound quality.

Now doesn't this put the current release to shame?

So let's all join in and sign the petition.

Click THIS LINKto sign it

Ok I have it!! THESE ARE THE DETAILS
Lewman @ 1:15 pm EST

Right, as promised here are the details about the chat tonight.

The chat WILL be in the TBHL chat room. We've fixed the link, so you should all be able to access it with ease! I promise!!! :)
Here's the link for the chatroom:
http://www.theonering.net/barlimans/chat/index.html

When the java applet has loaded up, all you simply need to do is select the TBHL option in the channel selector. Enter your name, and CONNECT

And that's it! :) You'll be able to chat quite happely to Pete and Craig :)

The time again for the chat session is 7pm EST (which is 12am GMT)

So I hope again, to see you all there, should be a hoot! :) hehe

Ok Lewman, why do you keep messing us about?
Lewman @ 7:11 pm EST

Ok Ok.... Let's set the story straight.

The chat was scheduled for tonight, but again it hasnt happened but this is due to my own fault. Basically to cut a story short, there was a contradiction in the dates given. I assumed that the 14th would be US time, but it should have been the 15th. So the chat will be happening tommrow at the same time and everything.

Secondly, It has come to our attention that the TBHL chatroom is unobtainable due to a server problem. Just tested this myself, and it's true. I must apologise for this as I didnt know, till just that this was the reason why peeps were unable to connect to the chatroom. We are working on a solution for tommrow's event, so check back on us tommorow.

Anyways, hopefully everything should be sorted for tommrow, so I'll see you all (god willing) at the chat! :)

It's TONIGHT!!
Lewman @ 11:32 am EST

Yup, thats right. The guy's from Bad Taste are going to be online tonight in the TBHL chatroom to answer YOUR question on BT, the filming process, Peter Jackson, LOTR etc.

The fun starts at 7pm EST which is 12am GMT

Hope to see all ya bastards there, should be a good one! :)
