Apparently it's one of the main factors why we should love them :) So why not go have a read! Shit! Why not go put BT in your VCR! I'm sure you all need a gore fix ;p hehe

Gandalf's Notes from Middle Earth
sam @ 12:33 pm EST

Sir Ian McKellen has been keeping a journal of his experiences on the set of LOTR on his official website at www.mckellen.com.

He started the journal in August 1999, just as LOTR was going into production, and continues through right up until the current entry, which describes the extra work that has been done on the opening recently, and the problems experienced with the sound.

Sir Ian speaks very highly of PJ, as this snippet from his first entry from 20 August 1999 proves:

"If it weren't the director of "Heavenly Creatures" in control, with a strong vision of all those precise, quirky, majestic locations, I should not much look forward to a full year away from my home in London. But Peter Jackson's designs, script and his unshowy dedication to the task are irresistible. Had I been unable to play Gandalf (because of an encroaching "X-Men" schedule), I should have hoped for another less time-consuming part later in the trilogy."

LOTR Fever Sweeps Globe!
sam @ 3:04 am EST

After the spectacular display at Cannes, and the release of the trailer (see below), LOTR fever is sweeping the world, despite the fact we have to wait another six months before the release.

BBC News Online this week reported that "Mayor Mark Blumsky wants to capitalise on the films by selling Wellington as Middle Earth", while NZ newspaper the Evening Post says the plan "doesn't include a theme park...".

If this is all going on six months before release, what's it going to be like in December? Can't wait to find out! :-)

My faith in PJ in LOTR has rung true.... FOTR TRAILER + DOWNLOADABLE TRAILER.. NOW ONLINE!!! Yes!
Lewman @ 1:56 am EST

Well fuck my mother with a used studded dildo repeatedly while washing the insides of my cat out with bleach and turpentine. MY god I've just seen the future and it's PJ.

Yup Just watched the FOTR trailer, and it's AMAZING! Seriously who ever may have doubted PJ's project will have to eat their own words, cause there's a new man in town, and he's gonna kick Lucas to the wayside.

Weighing in at about 2mins 30 secs, it has so many clips that I'm sure Xo and the guys at TORN are gonna spend a month analysing it, scene by scene! hehe Not for me ;p In fact check out this for a complete break down of each scene.

So here's a select few grabs for your viewing pleasure, they are of course not the best of the bunch, dont want to spoil the suprises for ya ;p hehe

So here we go:

Here we have Frodo in his house, unaware of someone about to grab him. Anyone seen this before? hehe LIONEL! It screams Braindead! Look at the closeups, the lighting! It could be Timothy Balme! hehe

Here we have who's hand it was, it was Gandalf! :) Another close up shot that makes PJ who he is :) Can almost hear the Peter Dasent soundtrack over it, hehe :)

Here we have girls running through the forrest. Hmmm... where have I seen something like this before? Hey! Heavenly Creatures, It could be Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey in those costumes! :) hehe

Here we have the fellowship probably alking in the mines of mordor. Wow... does Gandalf bleach that beard to get it so white! :) hehe

Oh my god! Here is what I remember from Bakshi's version, the Nazgul looking for the Hobbits. Any bugger me! Doesn't the Nazgul rider look like Death from the Frighteners? hehe Maybe they used the same model ;p lol

And here it is the logo for Fellowship of the Ring! In all it's glory! :) Wow! and yes I did cream my pants. Maybe even three times, I can't help it.... It's just so bloody good! In fact, fuck me... I've never thought a trailer could be so entertaining!

So nothing left now aprt from all of you to go and watch it!! :) It's worth the time. Unfortuantly it's only available in Realvideo at the moment, but I'm sure we'll see a quicktime version soon!

WHy not share your thoughts on the trailer in the TBHL message forum
