Lewman. you are the slackest guy in the world! Or are you? + Happy Xmas
Lewman @ 3:20 pm EST

Ok guys, I know, I know. E-mail has been piling up, the page hasn't been updated in a while, and the announcement of the competition winners is late.

The truth is I have been so busy at university with getting deadlines in the last month, that I've been totally unable to get these kind of things done on the page.

But I do hope over the Xmas period to get back on top of all these things. My apologies to all the unaswered e-mails, I'll be taking care of these first.

The TBHL competition winners will now be announced on the 1st January 2001 So check back then to see if you have won.

I have also been sent a preview copy of the Forgotten Silver DVD by the good people at First Run Features. I'll be doing a full review of this excellent DVD soon for you all to see.

Well all there is to say now is, Have A Bloody Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year. Make it a good one ;)

Pete O'Herner (Barry from Bad Taste) has also informed us of what Mike Minnet has been upto these days. He's been in a rock group, and it looks like their debut album is just about ready to be released onto an unsuspecting NZ :) Here is the promo poster:

Frighteners SE DVD FINALLY???? & Competition Reminder
Lewman @ 7:43 pm EST

Oh my gawd... Could it be that Universal are busy shitting their pants at the moment on the impending signature petition that we are going to be sending them? Because DVDANGLE are reporting that there will be a SE DVD of The Frighteners released in the near future!

I have just confirmed what I have suspected for a while. Universal will be releasing a Special Edition version of the Peter Jackson film The Frighteners. While no details could be talked about "officially", you can expect to see a new 16x9 transfer as well as a few extras from the infamous LD as well as one or two original items. No release date is set yet but I am sure that they will have this disc out in time for the release of Jackson's soon to be a mega hit The Lord of the Rings. So you can probably anticipate a mid 2001 release date. Stay tuned for more details later.

If this is true then, by gawd... there will be a lot of these flying off the shelves, as long as they put the 4.5 hour documentary on too!

Also a reminder that the competiton to win a SIGNED PJ POSTER will end on the 24th November, so If you have not submitted your entry yet, hurry the hell up! :)
