Chasing the Dragon: Showbiz Ireland reports that Jodie Foster has beaten out Cate Blanchett (Galadriel) for the role of journalist Veronica Guerrin.

The Goonies 2: The sequel is a lock, Richard Donner told The Associated Press that two writers are at work on the sequel and filming will begin within six months to a year and "Everybody's coming back". Including our Sean Astin (Sam).

I went into my local Cinema (Movieland 5 , Porirua, Wellington , NZ) and in a metal frame was the LOTR poster With Elijah Wood looking at us with the ring in his hand. Well anyway the thing is they had a 'countdown clock' built in to the frame. It was counting down the days , hours, minutes , seconds and even 10s/100s of seconds.

Yesterday, driving through one of Athen's main intersections I noticed to my delight a huge handpainted LOTR poster hanging on the marquee of a major movie-house, which is now closed for the summer months. The poster, which is a "liberal" depiction of the classic "Frodo holding ring" theme, was sharing the prominent hanging space with posters for "Harry Potter" and "AI".
