Swedish TTT DVD Release Date

Ringer Genome sends word: Just thought that you might want to know the release date of the TTT DVD in Sweden (as I have seen no release dates as of yet online) is August 26th. This may seem a bit late and may of course change, but last year the date we got was the final date. I work at a major retailer in Sweden and we just got our ordering material in for the first set. It's a two-disc and we've also been informed that they're expecting lower sales this year since the four disc set is due out in November.

Oscar-winning Kiwi director Andrew Adamson is eyeing Canterbury for his next movie, but says tax incentives in other countries may lure the production elsewhere. Mr Adamson, who won an Academy Award in 2001 as co-director of animated feature Shrek, is filming an adaptation of C. S.Lewis' childrens' classic The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe in New Zealand. From Dr. LS: Sir Ian McKellen is on Radio 2 right now talking ROTK and of going back to New Zealand in June to film some more scenes as they are “boosting the emotional content of the film”. He is apparently appearing on BBC1 tv tonight (about 11 pm) with talk show host Michael Parkinson… and on 4th May next, he’s appearing at the newly opening St. Paul's Art Centre, London...

It read that The Matrix: Revolutions would premiere its trailer exclusively at the end of the film. But then directly beneath Revolutions it stated Lord of the Rings. They usually say the trailers showing with the film, so this is common.

From Daily Variety: LOTR star and all-around renaissance man Viggo Mortensen has lined up shows around the world for his photographs. An exhibit of his works just closed at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery in Canton, N.Y. Next up, the Fototeca de Cuba will display images he shot recently in Morocco and South Dakota (May 6 to June 5). The Museum of Photographic Art in Denmark will also host a Mortensen retrospective covering 10 years of the artist's snapshots (June 28 to Sept. 21).

Irascian writes: 'DVD Review' magazine has the following to say in its 'Rumour Control' news section: The TTT DVD will not be released on 30 June, as earlier reported. In a surprise move, distributor EIV has postponed the first edition and not revealed a new date. Peter Jackson has revealed some good news, however: the extended version will last an extra 30 minutes, requiring Weta to deliver another 150 computer generated shots'.
